Effectiveness of Animal-Assisted Interventions as Adjuvant Treatment of ADHD in Children Aged 0-12 Years: A Systematic Review of Randomized Clinical Trials

Abstract

Objective: Evaluate the efficacy of side treatment in animals assisted therapy in children with ADHD.

Methods: Systematic review of randomized clinical trials, based on PRISMA protocol using MEDLINE and Academic Google as database; Using articles since 2010 to 2022.

Conclusion: there was not enough evidence that animal-assisted interventions are established as a form of adjunctive therapy in the treatment of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in isolation.
